CUE 2015 Affiliate Meeting Updates and News

At CUE 2015, CUE leaders met with all the affiliates to provide the following important updates and news:

Honor Your Educational Heroes!
The 2016 award nominations will open in October, and are due December 10, 2015. Nominate for two awards - Outstanding Teacher and Technology in Learning Leadership - affiliate winners receive free conference registration! "We've never had 20 award nominations," CUE CEO, Mike Lawrence said. "This year I am hoping all 20 affiliates will nominate for at least one of the awards." Visit for all the details.

Board Nominations
CUE is built on the strength of its volunteers serving in a variety of leadership roles. Through a simple nomination process, your affiliate can bring forward one strong member to run for a seat on the CUE Board of Directors. Leadership Development Institute
Every summer, CUE hosts the Leadership Development Institute (LDI). Save the date for the 2015 LDI - July 24-25. CUE invites each affiliate to send two members - a leader and an emerging leader - and CUE will reimburse the two members for room and board. Watch this site for details on the 2015 LDI...

Affiliate Subsidy Program
Affiliates may request reimbursement for meeting expenses up to $500 each fiscal year (July 1 through May 30). Expenses include keynote speaker honoraria or travel expenses, online tools for tech fair or other affiliate events, event insurance, room or equipment rental, including custodial expenses, printing expenses, including programs, banners, handouts, and signage. Click for more information and to complete the reimbursement form.

Affiliate Events
When your affiliate schedules an event, let us know! CUE will promote your event on and Twitter, ship you OnCUE Journals, provide raffle prizes, and send available CUE staff or board to meet and greet at your event. Fill out the simple form at and we'll take care of the rest!
